For Josh, dedication to fitness and nutrition is lifelong passion. He met his wife, Sarah Bowmar, in 2014 when they were both competing in the Arnold Classic in Columbus, Ohio, and they were married the next year. Together, Josh and Sarah were certified as nutrition specialists and ISSA fitness trainers in 2014.That same year, Sarah joined Josh in a combined online coaching business, Bowmar Fitness. Recognizing the need for healthier, cleaner products, they founded the clean nutrition-focused companies, Bowmar Nutrition, and APEX Protein Snacks in 2018 and 2020. They also document their tips for healthy eating and exercising on their Bowmar Fitness YouTube Channel. The one Bowmar Nutrition Product they can’t live without? Their Collagen Peptides.

Hunting

From a young age, Josh Bowmar has loved bowhunting and spending time in the great outdoors. He and Sarah now hunt together all over the world using only their bows and arrows, with their favorite spots being Africa and Alaska. Through hunting, they have had the opportunity to give back by donating tens of thousands of meals to families in South Africa and Mozambique. The Bowmars are also dedicated to fighting against poaching, which they do by promoting ethical hunting methods and supporting the Dallas Safari Club’s anti-poaching efforts. Together, Josh and Sarah own Bowmar Archery, where their branded archery gear and supplies such as their patented nose button can be found. Their experiences with big game hunting, travels, and bowhunting tips can be seen on their Bowmar Bowhunting YouTube Channel.

Author: Zero to a Million without Showing Your Butthole

Josh and Sarah Bowmar both have a large social media following, with over 2 million followers on social media combined, plus over 200k Youtube subscribers and 25 million views on their two Fitness and Bowhunting channels. They noticed that most books on social media strategies are not written by authors who have a following large enough to validate their advice. So, in 2018, Josh and Sarah decided to fill in the gap by writing their own. Their book, Zero to a Million without Showing Your Butthole, gives advice on the best ways to grow your social media presence using their own experiences - both the good and the bad.

The Bowmar Show Podcast

The Bowmar Show, the Bowmars’ podcast with almost half a million downloads and counting, was started by Josh and Sarah in 2019. On the show, the Bowmars get candid and discuss tips for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, business, life, and everything in between.

Giving Back

Growing up in the great outdoors gave Josh Bowmar and Sarah Bowmar a desire to show others just how wonderful it is to be outside in nature. In 2020, they established Kids in the Outdoors, a non-profit aimed at introducing children from urban areas to nature through days of fun filled with outdoor activities. The first of what they hope is many Kids in the Outdoors events was held in August 2020. In partnership with a Kansas City church, they gave the opportunity to 30 children to travel to Northern Missouri for a fun day of fishing, playing games, and eating wild game.

Josh and Sarah Bowmar also regularly give back, both locally and internationally, through Bowmar Nutrition and Bowmar Bowhunting.

Through Bowmar Bowhunting, they’ve partnered with a local church in Columbus, OH to donate over 30 turkeys for Thanksgiving, 2015. They have also been able to donate 30,000 meals and counting to families in places like South Africa and Mozambique.

Each year, Bowmar Nutrition sponsors the 3rd and Goal Foundation holiday drive, where they donate winter coats, socks, and other essentials to dozens of veterans. They also donate tens of thousands of dollars worth of their branded supplements to naval battle ships and army bases on a yearly basis. In 2020, Bowmar Nutrition was excited to announce they were able to donate $700,000 worth of their products to 11 food banks, 20 military bases, and 750 individual front-line workers such as police officers, teachers, nurses and first responders.
